The Adenium Obesum Anouk is a truly beautiful cultivar of the Adenium Obesum. The Adenium Obesum Anouk has the appearance of a normal Adenium. You only see the difference when it starts to bloom. The Adenium Obesum Anouk cultivar has extra large pink-purple flowers and often blooms with more flowers per flowering cycle. The edges of the flowers are intense purple-pink and become lighter towards the center. The heart of the flower is white. The flowers of the Adenium Obesum Anouk smell slightly sweet.

The Adenium Obesum in a beautiful green caudex plant that also retains many leaves during the rest period. Each Adenium Obesum plant is unique and produces its own shaped caudex. This means that no two plants are the same and you get the characteristic appearance of each caudex. The Adenium Obesum can also be used as a bonsai due to its beautiful shapes.

In nature, the Adenium Obesum occurs on the island of Socotra and in northeastern parts of Africa. These are very dry areas where Adenium Obesum grows. To survive long periods of drought, the Adenium Obesum stores a lot of moisture in its thick trunk. In nature, the Adenium Obesum can grow into Baobab-like trees of up to 5 meters.

The flowers do not appear at a fixed time of the year. If they are happy with you and get enough warmth and light, they can bloom several times a year. The beautiful red-purple flowers then appear at the top of the stems. The flowers can grow up to 5 cm in diameter.

The Adenium Obesum also has some Dutch nicknames. Namely the desert rose and impala lily.
