The Agave potatorum cv. Ouhi-Raijin variegata is a beautiful dwarf agave. This hybrid does not come from nature but was created through breeding in a nursery in Japan. The Agave potatorum cv. Shoji-Raijin often does not grow larger than 12 cm in diameter.

The leaves of the AAgave potatorum cv. Ouhi-Raijin variegata have a beautiful shape. The edges are green in color and a thick white colored stripe is visible in the middle. This white stripe is caused by the lack of chloroplasts. The leaves grow compactly and have one central spine and several smaller spines next to it. The spines are dark brown in color. When the Agave potatorum cv. Ouhi-Raijin variegata has a diameter of 5-6 cm, it often propagates by forming new side shoots. These grow from the side of the main plant. This way you get beautiful clusters of this beautiful agave.
