Information

Cleistocactus Straussi is a nice hairy soft column cactus. Don't be seduced by the cuddly quality of this cactus. Prickly thin spines grow under the soft hairs of these columnar cacti. Beautiful elongated red-pink flowers emerge from the side of the column cactus in summer, which can grow up to 6 cm in size. This cactus originally occurs in mountain areas of Bolivia and Argentina. Under the right conditions, the Cleistocactus can withstand temperatures down to -10 º C. This column cactus grows in solid straight trunks that occasionally branch out.
