Information

The Euphorbia flanaganii is a nice Euphorbia species that occurs naturally in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. Here this Euphorbia grows between stones on sandy grasslands.

The Euphorbia flanaganii has its own characteristic growth shape that is similar to the Euphorbia Inermis and Caput-medusae. The plant body of the Euphorbia flanaganii consists of a round central part from which all longer, thin side arms grow. Both the middle part and the arms have a dark green color. When this Euphorbia gets too much sunlight, it turns purple-green. The middle part of this Euphorbia is also called the caudex part. At the top it is green in color and is the growing point of the plant. Below the growing point there is also a section with an elongated taproot. This Euphrobia can store a lot of water in this to get through a long period of drought.

The Euphorbia flanaganii will bloom with us in the autumn. This Euphorbia flanaganii does this very easily if she is happy with you. These plants often only bloom when they are five years or older. The flowers of this Euphrobia grow on top of the side stems and have a bright yellow color.
