Information
Information
The Frithia pulchra is a small and beautiful succulent plant. This Frithia is related to the Fenestraria Rhopalophylla and occurs naturally in the Magaliesberg. This is a mountain range in South Africa. The Frithia pulchra grows here in dry grassland areas.
The leaves are club-shaped and have a gray-green color. They are often no longer than a few centimeters. The top of the leaves is transparent. You no longer see this at first glance, when the sun shines on it it becomes more visible. The leaves of the Frithia pulchra are transparent so that sunlight enters and photosynthesis can take place.
The Frithia pulchra usually blooms at the end of summer and in autumn. A small flower stem grows from between the leaves from which a 3-4 cm large purple-pink flower grows.
