The Huernia zebrina subs. Insigniflora is a beautiful carrion flower species that occurs in the north of South Africa. Here this Huernia species grows between granite stones at an altitude of 1300 to 1850 meters. The Huernia zebrina subs. Insigniflora grows in one of the highest areas of the Huernia Zebrina subspecies.
