Information

This beautiful Lithops species has a beautiful pattern on its leaves. The Lithops Aucampiae var. Glaudinae from site C116 is the only one with this drawing. Lithops Aucampiae var. glaudinae from other locations have a different markings and color pattern. The site C116 is located in South Africa. To be precise, 70 km WNW of the city of Griekwastad on the Northern Cape. This is the only location where this variant with drawing has been found to date.

General information Lithops succulent

Lithops species bloom in autumn with white or yellow flowers that appear from the stones. Once a year the stones change their leaves. The outer part comes loose and a new plant grows from the middle. The new living stones eventually become larger than the previous ones. So don't be alarmed if the stone suddenly splits open and a new stone comes out. There they grow in sandy soil and are often difficult to find. This is because the Lithops species often largely withdraw into the sand during dry periods, leaving only the top of the two leaves visible.
