Opuntia Basilaris is a beautiful fine disc cactus. This leaf cactus can be found in nature in the Southeastern United States and northern Mexico. This cactus produces a large number of new shoots at the top of the existing leaves. Due to the large number of shoots that this Opuntia produces, it grows into a beautiful compact shrub. Although it appears that this Opuntia has no spines, it has small hairy spines that remain in your skin. Even though she looks cuddly, don't pet her.
