The Selenicereus validus is a beautiful hanging cactus species that occurs naturally in southern Mexico. The Selenicereus validus produces stems that grow up to 40 cm long and 3 cm wide. These stems have a fresh green color and all have small white spines along their sides.

If the Selenicereus validus is happy with you, it will bloom in the summer. The Selenicereus validus is a night bloomer. This means that the flowers open as soon as it starts to get dark and close again as soon as it gets light. The flowers of the Selenicereus validus are truly beautiful to see. They can grow up to 22 cm. The flowers have a white color and the rear leaves have a golden color. The flowers of Selenicereus validus produce a slightly sweet scent.

This cactus is very fragile, but because it is popular and has a beautiful appearance, we still want to offer it. We pack these cacti as best as possible. However, it may happen that some stems break off during transport. You can pot these again after +- 2 weeks of drying. These will then continue to grow again from spring onwards.
