The Aloe arborescens is a beautiful and well-known Aloe species. In nature, this succulent plant grows in a large part of the south of the African continent. Here the Aloe arborescens grows in many different areas, from coastal areas, dry forest areas to high in the mountains.

The Aloe arborescens has beautiful fresh green to blue-green leaves. The edges of the leaves have a serrated shape due to their many small spines. These often have a slightly lighter color than the leaves themselves. The leaves of this Aloe can grow up to 50 cm long. When the Aloe arborescens grows older, it will form a trunk. Old leaves at the bottom of the plant then dry. These are replaced by new growth at the top of the plant. When the leaves have dried out completely, you can remove them and its beautiful trunk will become visible.

The Aloe arborescens is an easy and rich bloomer. She usually does this for us at the end of the summer and in the fall. Long flower stems with many orange-red bell-shaped flowers grow from the heart of the plant.
