The Gymnocalycium chacoense is a beautiful cactus species that occurs naturally in the Bolivian province of Santa Cruz. Here this cactus grows in an area around the Serro San Miquel mountain.

The Gymnocalycium chacoense has a beautiful dark green color. Her areoles are light colored and from these grow her sharp yellow spines. The contrast of these two colors gives the Gymnocalycium chacoense its beautiful appearance. The individual trunks of this cactus grow to between 8 and 10 cm in diameter. In addition, the Gymnocalycium chacoense likes to produce many side shoots. These grow from the side of a larger plant and this is how this cactus forms beautiful full clusters.

The Gymnocalycium chacoense is an easy bloomer. She usually does this for us in the summer and often several times. Its flower buds appear from the head of the cactus. These grow into beautiful bright white flowers.
