Information

Mammillaria Plumosa is a beautiful cactus with very fine spines. So nice that it looks like this cactus is covered with a feather package. It is a cactus that produces many new shoots. In addition, the Mammillaria Plumosa can withstand drought very well. Even when this cactus receives little water, it still grows quite quickly.

In nature, Mammillaria Plumosa occurs in Mexico in the area of Coahuila and Neuva Leon at altitudes between 800 and 1350 meters. Here these cacti grow against rock walls or rock crevices. Unlike other cacti, the flowers of Mammillaria Plumosa often appear in October. They are white-yellow in color and appear at the heads of plants between the spines. Although the flowers of Mammillaria Plumosa are often only 1 to 1.5 cm in size, they have a strong sweet scent.

The Mammillaria Plumosa is grown by means of seed or cuttings. Both options are easy ways to grow this cactus. Cuttings can be taken from the mother plant in the spring. These cuttings root quickly and easily.
