The Notocactus uebelmannianus inermis is a beautiful cactus species without spines. This does not occur in nature, but is created by breeding in nurseries. The original plant grows in dry areas in Brazil.

The Notocactus uebelmannianus inermis has beautiful dark green colored ribs. These ribs all have light fluffy areoles. Normally the spines grow out of this. But not with the Notocactus uebelmannianus inermis. Because the Notocactus uebelmannianus inermis has no spines, the beautiful symmetry of its ribs becomes visible.

In addition to its beautiful appearance, the Notocactus uebelmannianus inermis also blooms beautifully. The flowers of the Notocactus uebelmannianus inermis appear in spring and summer. First a small brown fluffy dot becomes visible which later grows into a beautiful intense purple colored flower.
