Orbea Variegata is a distinctively shaped succulent plant. In nature, this Orbea Variegata can be found in the Western Cape of South Africa and grows actively during the rainy season in winter. The Orbea Variegata is cluster-forming and grows into a cluster of a maximum of 10 cm high and 50 cm in diameter. It is a leafless succulent. The stems are serrated, making them look somewhat like a cactus. The flowers of this Orbea are very variable. They are off-white to yellow in color with maroon speckles and can reach a diameter of 8 cm. The shape of the flowers is star formation. Each Orbea Variegata can produce up to 5 flowers. The flowers may have a faint vinegar scent to attract potential pollinating insects. In short, a very nice succulent plant from South Africa.
