The Prepodesma orpenii is a special plant that you do not often encounter. The Prepodesma orpenii occurs in the North Cape province of South Africa. Here the Prepodesma orpenii grows on dry plains between small stones.

The Prepodesma orpenii has pointed upward-growing leaves that have a beautiful gray-green color. Due to this color and shape, the Prepodesma orpenii is almost unnoticeable in nature among the stones. The color of the Prepodesma orpenii can change to pinkish gray when the Prepodesma orpenii receives a lot of sunlight.

The Prepodesma orpenii will bloom with us in autumn and winter. Small flower stems with up to 5 cm large bright yellow flowers appear between the middle leaves.
