Information

The Trichodiadema Densum is a unique succulent species that occurs naturally in South Africa. Here the Trichodiadema Densum grows in sandy and rocky areas around the town of Willowmore. The leaves of Trichodiadema Densum feel fleshy and have stiff hairs on top. They look like spines, but they aren't.

When the Trichodiadema Densum ages, this plant starts to form a caudex. This is woody in shape and brown-black in color. The green parts that you see on the young plants then grow on top of the caudex. Ultimately, the caudex can grow to a height of 30 cm and 5-10 cm wide. This takes many years before the Trichodiadema Densum reaches these dimensions.
