The Agave shaka Zulu is a beautiful hybrid resulting from a cross between the Agave Attenuata and the Agave Ocahui. Initially, this Agave was given the name Agave Blue glow. Later the commercial name Agave Shaka Zulu came.

Agave Shaka Zulu has striking blue-green leaves with red-brown spines. The leaves are thick, fleshy and stiff, usually forming a rosette. The edges of the leaves often have small spines and a long main spine on the tip. This Agave is an average grower and typically reaches a size of about 1 to 2 feet (30 to 60 cm) in diameter and height, making it a relatively compact agave.

The Agave Shaka Zulu is an easy Agave species that also does well outside in spring, summer and autumn. The Agave Shaka Zulu is not winter hardy, so place it nice and warm indoors as soon as night frost occurs.
