Eulychnia castanea cv. varispiralis spiral form is a special cactus species that you don't often encounter. This cactus species originated from breeding. The normal Eulychnia castanea is a columnar cactus that occurs naturally on mountain slopes in Chile.

The spiral variant of the Eulychnia castanea cv. varispiralis grows in a twisted shape. Her thick dark brown spines grow randomly between the twisted curves. The spiral twist sometimes grows over the entire plant or is interrupted at the front of one side of the cactus by monstuos growth. This is clearly visible in the second photo.

The Eulychnia castanea cv. varispiralis spiral form is a cactus that blooms infrequently. She mainly relies on her looks. If it does bloom, you will see buds appear from the side of the cactus. The flowers are white and have a slightly sweet scent.
