Information

The Euphorbia Mammillaris variegata is a beautiful Euphorbia species that occurs naturally in South Africa. Here this Euphorbia grows in sandy and rocky areas.

The Euphorbia Mammillaris variegata has a white to white-green color and produces trunks up to 30 cm high. The Euphorbia Mammillaris variegata produces many side arms that grow from the main stem. The side arms resemble stone age clubs or corn cobs. This is why this Euphorbia Mammillaris variegata has also been nicknamed Indian corn cob.

The Euphorbia Mammillaris variegata produces thick woody spines on top of its trunks. As the trunks grow larger, the spines at the bottom fall off. The Euphorbia Mammillaris variegata blooms more easily and often produces many small yellow flowers at the tops of its stems.

When the Euphorbia Mammillaris variegata is placed in a light place or hibernates in a cold (above freezing point), its trunks take on a pink glow.
