The Huernia volkartii var. repens is a strange looking Huernia species. In nature, this Huernia occurs in the west and east of Mozambique. The Huernia volkartii var. grows here. repens often hanging between rocks on mountain slopes.

The Huernia volkartii var. repens is a Huernia species that grows creeping. The stems do not grow upright but lie down and then branch out from the side. The stems of the Huernia volkartii var. repens change color with the tides each year. When this Huernia is growing well in spring and summer, they have a fresh green color. At the end of summer and into winter the trunks turn a dark red-green color.

The Huernia volkartii var. repens blooms here in the fall. She does this quite easily. The flowers grow from the sides of its stems. The flowers have a light yellow color with a dark red pattern on them.
