Information

The Monadenium Ritchiei Nyambense is a beautiful green colored succulent plant that occurs naturally in Kenya. This Monadenium grows there in the Meru District near the Lagadema mountain. Here the Monadenium Ritchiei Nyambense grows between the grass and under small shrubs.

The subspecies "Nyambense" has smaller and thicker trunks and the leaves are wider shaped than the main species. The main stem produces all new shoots from below. This way you will get beautiful clusters of the Monadenium over time. The stems of the Monadenium Ritchiei Nyambense are bumpy in shape and have no spines. The flowers grow from the head of the plant between these bumps. These are white and pink in color and tubular and usually remain open for 1.5 to 2 weeks. Our flowers open at the end of summer and in autumn.

The leaves of the Monadenium Ritchiei Nyambense feel fleshy and are green in color. When the plant goes into rest, the leaves fall off. When the plant comes out of rest, it will grow again automatically.
